Leeds are in line for a triple injury boost with Pablo Hernandez, Kemar Roofe and Pierre-Michel Lasogga all expected to be fit to face Brentford.

The Whites face the Bees in the Championship on Saturday afternoon with Paul Heckingbottom still looking for his first win as boss.

Leeds looked on course for that against Derby County in midweek, as goals from Lasogga and Ezgjan Alioski had given them a 2-1 lead heading into the final few minutes.

However, a poor defensive effort allowed Kasey Palmer to lash home for his first goal for the Rams and consigned Leeds to a single point.

Hernandez had limped off with a groin injury while strikers Roofe and Lasogga had picked up slight knocks, but all three are now expected to be fit for Saturday’s match.

Heckingbottom confirmed the news at the pre-match press conference on Friday, while also revealing that reserve goalkeeper Andy Lonergan was a doubt.

BBC journalist Adam Pope was in attendance and reported the news on Twitter:

OPINION

This will be a big boost for Leeds as they head into the Brentford clash. Heckingbottom and his side are badly in need of a win if they want to have any chance of getting themselves back into play-off contention. Lasogga has been in brilliant goalscoring form recently, and Hernandez has been fantastic in wide areas. Roofe has not been so good, but is still a goal threat and a great option for Leeds to have.
