Liverpool are set to offer Sadio Mane a bumper new contract, according to the Daily Mirror.

The newspaper claim that even though the winger has three years left to run on his current £80,000-a-week deal, the Reds are keen to hand him a new deal in recognition of his contribution.

The Daily Mirror report that if Mane commits to a further two years then he can expect to double his money in line with the club’s highest earners.

Mohamed Salah is also set to be offered a new contract, according to the newspaper’s report, but Mane is first in the queue for a pay increase.

The 25-year-old has scored 25 goals in 57 appearances for the Reds since joining from Southampton for £34million, according to the BBC, in 2016.

Out of the 25 goals he has scored, 12 of them have come this season.

Mane is an amazing talent, and it’s no surprise that he is set to be offered a new contract. After scoring a hat-trick against Porto on Wednesday, the winger looked back to his best after not firing on all his cylinders during the 28 appearances he has made this season. Jurgen Klopp is no doubt aware that as well as diving into the transfer market in the summer, the Reds need to ensure they keep the best players at the club, if they want to push for the Premier League title next season. Mane’s performances next season will no doubt be vital to the Reds’ chances of achieving success.
