Liverpool fans were jubilant on social media after reading a report that stated both Sadio Mane and Mohamed Salah were set to be offered new contracts.
The Daily Mirror reported that Mane was set to be offered a bumper new deal that would see him earn significantly more than £80,000-a-week and that Salah would also be given new contract shortly.
The pair have been in terrific form for the Reds as of late with both scoring in the 5-0 win against Porto on Wednesday in the Champions League.
Mane actually scored a hat-trick in that game, which meant that he had now scored 12 goals in 28 games this season.
While that is an impressive goal return, Salah has done even better this season since joining from AS Roma for £36.9million, according to the The Guardian, in the summer.
The 25-year-old has scored 30 goals in 36 appearances across all competitions and is currently second in the race to win the Premier League’s Golden Boot this season.
With both being among the goals this season, Liverpool supporters took to Twitter to share their happiness over the pair potentially getting new contracts.
One fan said it was happy days as long as Roberto Firmino gets a new deal too, while another supporter wanted the Reds to give them whatever they wanted in order to get their signatures.
