Tottenham are reportedly closing in on a deal for Paris Saint-Germain attacker Lucas Moura after agreeing personal terms and the club should bin Moussa Sissoko if they get that transfer over the line.

French outlet RMC Sport reported on their live transfer blog (Friday, 3:03pm) that Spurs have agreed a four year deal with PSG’s 25-year-old winger.

It is understood that Mauricio Pochettino’s side will match the speed demon’s PSG salary after he traveled to England for talks on Thursday.

The report details that Spurs are still trying to reach an agreement over a transfer fee as the Ligue 1 leaders are keen to receive a £21.8million sum.

Moura could turn out to be a brilliant signing for Spurs if he joins in the January window and he will add a much-needed injection of pace in wide areas.

The electric winger has shown during his time with French giants that he is a big goal threat, scoring 46 goals and supplying 50 assists in 229 games.

The Brazilian’s arrival will help Pochettino improve his starting XI, but one player that should be fearful is Sissoko.

Spurs splashed out £30million to sign Sissoko from Newcastle in 2016 and it is clear to see he has not lived up to that price tag.

The Frenchman is a powerful runner that has been given enough chances by Pochettino, but he has failed to make a serious impact and he should be moved on.

He has not produced the end quality when used out on the wing, something that Moura should bring in abundance.

Meanwhile, he is not consistent enough to play in a central-midfield role as the likes of Eric Dier, Mousa Dembele and Victor Wanyama are above him in the pecking order.
