West Ham have agreed a fee with Premier League rivals Crystal Palace to sell senior player Diafra Sakho, according to Sky Sports.

The news outlet claims that the two clubs have reached an agreement over the 28-year-old with the fee believed to be between £10-12million.

It is understood that the Senegal international will now undergo a medical at Palace ahead of his switch.

The centre-forward tried to force an exit from the London Stadium in the summer and is now finally set to leave the Hammers.

Sakho has made 71 appearances during his three-and-a-half years with West Ham and scored 24 goals in return.

Good move for West Ham?

Sakho is clearly surplus to requirements in David Moyes’ squad and there is not much point keeping a player that wants to lead.

West Ham have plenty of other options in their squad and the striker is yet to complete 90 minutes in any of his 17 appearances this season.

The eight-figure bid that has been accepted also represents a good deal for the Hammers and they should be able to reinvest that elsewhere in the squad.

Likely to happen?

This deal looks on the verge of completion and a medical is the only fence left for Sakho to jump before a move to Selhurst Park.

The wantway striker will hope to reignite his Premier League career at Palace and has shown signs at West Ham that he can be clinical in front of goal.
