Swansea City are interested in a double January raid for West Ham attackers Andre Ayew and Diafra Sakho, according to Sky Sports.

The news outlet claims that the Swans want to try re-sign Ayew during the current window after he left to join the Hammers in 2016.

It is understood that West Ham value the 28-year-old at £20million and that a deal is unlikely to be struck as the player is against a return to his former club.

The report further details that Swansea are casting their eye of 28-year-old Sakho as managed Carlos Carvalhal looks to strengthen his relegation-threatened squad.

The Sun has previously reported that David Moyes’ side would be willing to listen to offers for both Ayew and Sakho, with the pair being tipped for departures.

Good move for West Ham?

It would not be the end of the world for West Ham if they lost either attacker as long as they could bring in a replacement.

Moyes has an overload of attaching options and the duo appear to be near the bottom of the pecking order.

Ayew has managed to score six goals across all competitions this season, but the left-winger hasn’t looked at his best.

Meanwhile, centre-forward Sakho has been ever less involved and managed four goals in his 17 appearances.

Likely to happen?

It seems like a Swansea reunion with Ayew is off the cards based on the players’ wishes, but if the Hammers can still recuperate £20million from his sale elsewhere they will be happy.

Meanwhile, Sakho’s future at the London Stadium is under serious doubt and it could roll along until deadline day at this rate.
