Crystal Palace have submitted a £10million bid for West Ham striker Diafra Sakho, according to the Daily Mail

The newspaper report that the 28-year-old will be allowed to leave by David Moyes as the Scot seeks funds to strengthen in midfield and defence.

The Mail claim that the Hammers value Sakho at £15million, but are willing to accept a lower offer with add-ons to follow at the end of the season.

It is said that Moyes is happy with his options in attack, and it has looked for a while now as though Sakho would be sacrificed in January.

Good move for West Ham?

It’s obvious to everyone that Sakho will not get many minutes at the London Stadium, and the Hammers need funds for other signings.

A move away is definitely the best option for everyone involved.

If the Hammers can secure a deal that sees the fee rise to £15million then they would be doing very well out of the deal, as Sakho has not really had the chance to justify that fee this season.

Selling to a relegation rival might be a risk, but it may be one that they are willing to take in order to sign the players that Moyes wants.

Likely to happen?

It seems as though both parties are willing for a deal to happen.

All that seems left to happen now is for a few more details to be ironed out and for Sakho to have his medical.

This one could be confirmed tomorrow.
