Tottenham fans reacted to a report that revealed Mauricio Pochettino is willing to let Marcus Edwards leave on loan in January.

The Guardian reported that Pochettino believes the 19-year-old attacking midfielder would benefit from regular football and will sanction a temporary move to a Championship team in the coming days.

Edwards has mostly featured for Spurs Under-23s team this season, making 25 appearances for them and scoring nine goals.

Spurs supporters praised the news that Edwards would be allowed a temporary exit from the club, with many believing it was the right decision.

One fan believed with out regular football, the attacking midfielder’s development had “stagnated” while other fans were thinking of Championship sides he could join.

One supporter thought Sheffield United would be ideal due to their style of football, and few suggested Fulham as it could help Spurs get Ryan Sessegnon.

Despite Fulham’s vice-chairman Tony Khan sharing that the youngster wouldn’t leave in January; the Telegraph reported that Spurs would remain interested in the left-back and submit a record-breaking bid in the summer.

However, it’s unknown whether the Cottagers would even be interested in signing Edwards on loan, as they’re more interested in signing a new striker according to their manager Slavisa Jokanovic.

The majority of Tottenham fans didn’t seem to mind which Championship club the midfielder ended up at, just as long as he got regular football.
