Tottenham best possible XI v Everton

|

Hugo Lloris (Goalkeeper) – Lloris was rested in the FA Cup clash against Wimbledon as Michel Vorm was handed a rare start. Lloris must come back in as usual for the Everton clash. Lloris for Vorm.

Serge Aurier (Right-back) – Kieran Trippier was decent against Wimbledon, and was involved in the build-up to Kane’s opener. However, Aurier has simply outshone the England man in recent weeks, slowly becoming Spurs’ best option in this position. Aurier for Trippier.

Davinson Sanchez (Centre-back) – The young Colombian has had a shaky few weeks since his return from a red card suspension. For the first time the 21-year-old has looked dodgy at times in a Spurs shirt, and he was rested in the FA Cup. However, he is still a brilliant defender, and must play on Saturday against the threat of new Everton signing Cenk Tosun. Sanchez for Juan Foyth.

Jan Vertonghen (Centre-back) – Vertonghen scored his first goal since October 2013 with a long-range deflected strike against the Dons, and that is just reward for a brilliant season so far for the Belgian. Vertonghen has led by example at the back for Tottenham all season, and must start as usual on Saturday.

Ben Davies (Left-back) – Davies has been handed the left-back berth in recent weeks after Danny Rose suffered an injury setback. Kyle Walker-Peters played against Wimbledon, but Davies must come back in against Everton. He is always a solid option for Spurs on the left. Davies for Walker-Peters.
