Tottenham Hotspur are willing to part with midfielder Moussa Sissoko this month if a bid of £30million comes in for the France international, according to the Mirror

The newspaper claim that Mauricio Pochettino is looking to increase his squad depth, but would be willing to part with the 28-year-old if a suitable offer came in.

Sissoko cost Spurs £30million from Newcastle in 2016 after the Magpies were relegated from the Premier League, and the club have reportedly been disappointed since his move.

It is said that Spurs were also willing to sell Sissoko in the summer if a similar offer materialised, but none were submitted.

The rapid midfielder has become a key member of Spurs’ first team this season, appearing in all but one of their Premier League matches so far, and making 28 appearances in all competitions.

Good move for Tottenham Hotspur?

100%.

Quite frankly, Sissoko has been extremely poor since his big-money move from the Magpies.

The France international has scored just twice in 62 appearances for Tottenham, and has struggled to secure a regular first-team place at the club.

If Spurs were able to make back what they paid for him just 18 months ago, then it would be a no-brainer to let him go and bring in someone more suited to the squad.

Likely to happen?

For £30million? Probably not.

There were many raised eyebrows when Spurs stumped up that amount to sign Sissoko, and it is unlikely that clubs would be willing to pay that amount for the 28-year-old.

The midfielder has done nothing at Tottenham to suggest he was worth that amount, and even in today’s inflated market, it is doubtful that anyone would pay that money again for him.
