Tottenham defender Danny Rose will miss the next three games, according to a reliable journalist .

ESPN correspondent Dan Kilpatrick reported on his personal Twitter account that the 27-year-old will miss the club’s next three fixtures, starting with Swansea on Tuesday night in the Premier League.

It is understood that he will also miss Thursday’s league match against West Ham and the weekend clash against AFC Wimbledon in the FA Cup.

The report details that he is set for tests this week on a knee injury, a reoccurring problem the has been an issue for the England international.

Rose has been in and out of the Spurs team so far this campaign, but he is now set for a spell on the sidelines once again due to an injury setback.

The left-back has been replaced by teammate Ben Davies against Swansea, who will be coming up against his former club.

Rose has been widely linked with a move away from Spurs in the January transfer window and some fans may believe the injury is very timely.

OPINION

Rose must be extremely frustrated with yet another injury setback and it seems that his career is very stop-start of late. The left-sided flyer was just beginning to recapture his best form and has once again returned to the injury table. He is certainly one of the best full-backs in the Premier League when he is on form and will be desperate to enjoy a strong second half of the season ahead of the World Cup in the summer. Mauricio Pochettino has preferred to rotate his full-backs throughout the season so far and is set to continue with that policy, despite Rose appearing to get a grip on the position recently.
