Tottenham are closing in on the signing of Bordeaux attacker Malcom, according to a reliable journalist.
Caio Carrieri, who covers the Premier League for Brazilian media outlet UOL Esporte, reported on his personal Twitter account that Spurs are working on a mega-money deal to sign the Brazilian, 20, before the 31 January cut-off.
Carrieri explains that Malcom’s agents met Tottenham manager Mauricio Pochettino and chairman Daniel Levy this week in London as talks progressed on what would be a £50million deal made up of an initial £40million plus £10million of add-ons.

It has been widely reported that Arsenal have pulled out of the race to sign Malcom and Spurs appear ready to capitalise on their rivals’ indecisiveness and move swiftly for the highly-rate forward.
He has produced a series of scintillating displays for the Ligue 1 strugglers this season, with seven goals and six assists in his 22 appearances across all competitions.
