Newcastle United have been given a huge boost in their bid to sign Chelsea left-sided flyer Kenedy, according to a reliable journalist.
Sky Sports News correspondent Keith Downie reported on his personal Twitter account on Monday afternoon that Roma left-back Emerson Palmieri is “close” to signing for Chelsea.
Downie explained that this development will pave the way for Newcastle to seal the loan signing of Chelsea wide man Kenedy.

Newcastle have been strongly linked with signing Kenedy on a temporary deal in each of the last two windows.
The wide man has made six appearances this season, but has not appeared in the league for Antonio Conte’s side.
Good move for Newcastle United?
Yes. Kenedy has shown glimpses of his talent when he has played for Chelsea, and will offer great versatility down the left for the Magpies in their relegation fight. Fast, direct and comfortable driving forward, he will offer penetration on the overlap and recovery pace in defensive situations. The 21-year-old has much to learn, but he will benefit from playing regularly for an astute coach like Rafael Benitez.
