Paris St Germain have slapped a huge price-tag on Lucas Moura as the winger pushes for a January exit with an eye on Liverpool, according to Le Parisien.

The French newspaper claim that PSG want a fee of between £35.3million to £40million even though Moura has hardly featured this season.

Le Parisien report that the 25-year-old no longer wants to play in France and despite receiving no offer from the Reds, the winger has added the club to a shortlist of potential recruits.

The same report believes that Moura is thinking very hard about a move to Anfield, with the club thought to be looking for a new striker in January.

Manchester United are also keen on the winger, but only want to take him out of a loan, a move not favoured by PSG or the player.

The winger has only featured six times for PSG this season, scoring one goal.

Good move for Liverpool?

While there hasn’t been any concrete interest in the January window, Liverpool have been reported as keen in the past.

Given the player’s price and recent form, it would be a bad decision to move for Moura anytime soon.

The winger may be able to dazzle with his dribbling skills as he creates opportunities with his sublime passing ability, but it’s been a while since he has showcased those attributes.

Likely to happen?

A Liverpool move is unlikely to happen with the Reds’ interest yet to be shown in this transfer window.

However, Manchester United could end up with the winger, as Jose Mourinho’s side actually look keen to take the out-of-favour star.

The only reason this situation will change is if Moura’s representatives reach out to Liverpool and convince them to take their player.
