Liverpool fans took to social media to share their despair over the now all but guaranteed departure of Emre Can.
Sky in Italy reported that the midfielder had agreed a deal in principal to join Juventus in the summer, which will happen after his contract with the Reds expires.
Can despite his contract issues with Liverpool this season, has remained a regular fixture in the side.
The midfielder has made 25 appearances this season across all competitions, scoring three goals and registering four assists.
Can’s contract ending in the summer has been well documented, along with Juventus interest, however fans were still sadden by the latest update.
One fans shared that he hopes other Liverpool fans don’t lose their minds when the midfielder excels for Juventus and another label the news a major disappointment.
With Can looking like spending the rest of the season at the Reds, fans could endure mixed emotions if he puts in impressive performances, as they now believe he’s certain to leave.
The German midfielder has been with the Reds since July 2014, having joined from Bayer Leverkusen.
Can since joining, has made 154 appearances for the club but has not won any trophies during his spell.

People saying no is a tad disappointing, I've always rated him as a solid squad player who can do a job when needed.
The more options the better and he's not a bad one #LFC https://t.co/NqKYyhKFDK

Hope people don't lose their minds when Can bosses Italy in a few years. He'll develop into the type of player over that that he never would here. Will just suit that league #LFC

Can's departure is disappointing but was inevitable and he can be replaced in the summer so I'm not overly worried. #LFC
