Arsenal drew 0-0 with Chelsea at Stamford Bridge in the first leg of their Carabao Cup semi-final on Wednesday night, and fans have taken to Twitter to destroy Alex Iwobi for his poor display.
Iwobi started for the Gunners for the second game running despite an impending fine relating to his behaviour prior to their 4-2 loss to Nottingham Forest in the FA Cup.
The 21-year-old Nigeria international was spotted at a party in the early hours of Sunday, just hours before the Gunners faced Forest in the third round clash.
He started that match but put in a poor display as the holders fell to a disappointing 4-2 loss, crashing out of the competition at the first hurdle.
It has been reported that Iwobi is to be fined by the club for his conduct, but that did not stop Arsene Wenger throwing the youngster into the starting lineup again v Chelsea.
Iwobi lined up as one of Arsenal’s three attacking players, with him and Danny Welbeck playing behind Alexandre Lacazette up front.
He once again failed to make an impact however as the Gunners secured a draw at Stamford Bridge, showing his glaring lack of end product on several occasions.
Arsenal fans were not happy with his performance, and took to Twitter to slam the forward.
