Chelsea ace Kenedy starred in a dramatic FA Cup win over Norwich on Thursday night – and Newcastle United fans on Twitter have urged the club to sign him after his performance.

The Chronicle have reported that Rafael Benitez’s side have submitted a bid to take the 21-year-old on loan for the rest of the season.

It is understood that the Brazilian left-back is keen on a move to St James’ Park, but Chelsea boss Antonio Conte is yet to give the green light on a temporary exit and wants to bring in a replacement first.

Kenedy has been on the fringes of the Blues squad this season and the FA Cup third round replay was just his fifth senior appearance.

The left-sided flyer, who can play in either defensive or offensive positions, filled in at wing-back against Norwich at Stamford Bridge.

He played 86 minutes of the game and his low cross assisted Michy Batshuayi for the opening goal of the game.

The Brazilian also produced an eye catching moment where he nutmegged an opponent with a brilliant piece of skill that will have gone down well with Newcastle viewers.

Chelsea ended up going the distance with Championship side Norwich before eventually beating them on penalties, with a controversial VAR decision and two red cards for the hosts along the way.

Newcastle fans on social media were closely watching the frantic cup clash and they were impressed with the performance of reported target Kennedy.
