Celtic are the frontrunners in the race to sign St Mirren attacker Lewis Morgan, according to the Scottish Sun.
The newspaper claims that the Bhoys are in pursuit of the 21-year-old alongside English side Nottingham Forest.
It is understood that Brendan Rodgers is lining up a bid to sign the winger in the January transfer window, who is currently in brilliant form.
The report details that St Mirren have accepted Morgan’s fate will lie away from the club as his contract expires in the summer, but they are hopeful of agreeing a deal which sees the player loaned back to them until the end of the season.
Celtic would most likely agree to those terms and are aware that the Scotland Under-21 international is a player for the future.
Morgan has been in fine for Scottish Premiership side St Mirren this campaign, scoring 10 goals and supplying eight assists in 21 appearances across all competitions.

Morgan is certainly one of the best upcoming talents in Scottish football and a move to Parkhead would be an exciting one.
The versatile attacker, who can play anywhere across the front three, has been tearing up the Scottish Championship this season.
He has shown he is a skilful player with an eye for goal and it will be no surprise to see him rise straight to the top.
Celtic may need to start preparing for next season without Patrick Roberts when his loan spell expires and bringing in promising talent Morgan would be a smart move.

St Mirren have accepted Morgan’s fate and linking up with the Scottish champions seems like the next step in his development.
Rodgers has also shown during his managerial stint that he is willing to invest in young players and Morgan could become the next in his production line.
