West Ham lost 1-0 to Arsenal on Tuesday night to crash out of the EFL Cup at the quarter-final stage, and Hammers fans have taken to Twitter to slam the performance of central midfielder Pedro Obiang.
A Danny Welbeck goal on 42 minutes was enough to seal victory for a much-changed Arsenal side, who now progress to the semi-finals on their quest for a first League Cup win since 1993.
The defeat ends an unbeaten run of three games for West Ham, who have seen a sharp upturn in their league form recently.
A surprise 1-0 win over defending champions Chelsea was followed by a 0-0 draw against the Gunners, before a 3-0 win over Stoke last time out saw them climb out of the relegation zone.
The Gunners however got revenge for that disappointing league draw by winning through on Wednesday, as they held on to their one goal advantage to make the semis.
They are joined in the last four by Manchester City, who overcame Leicester on penalties in the night’s other match.
West Ham had reached the last eight with an impressive comeback win over rivals Tottenham, coming through 3-2 winners after going two goals behind.
Hammers fans took to Twitter to voice their disappointment at the performance, especially that of midfielder Obiang, who was wasteful and ineffective in midfield.
This is Futbol have rounded up some of the best tweets:

Having seen the way Hernandez, ayew, Carroll and sakho all played tonight you can see why moyes is playing Antonio and arnautovic up front!! I expected ayew to play the role of lanzini but he didnt. Looked knackered. And Obiang would struggle to pass wind ffs.

Looked alright… but Rice was strongest today. Obiang gave possession away god knows how many times. Should of been a different CDM pairing and Arnie needed to come on MUCH earlier

Anyone else think Obiang was poor tonight?
