Liverpool fans took to Twitter to slam Georginio Wijnaldum for his first-half display in their Premier League clash against Bournemouth on Sunday even though the visitors were 3-0 up.
Wijnaldum kept his place in the starting XI as manager Jurgen Klopp made four changes to the side that drew 0-0 against West Brom in the league in midweek.
Simon Mignolet, Joe Gomez, Jordan Henderson and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain were recalled in place of Loris Karius, Trent Alexander-Arnold, Sadio Mane and the suspended Emre Can.
Liverpool went into the half-time break three goals ahead through strikes from Philippe Coutinho, Dejan Lovren and man-of-the-moment Mohamed Salah.
It was a scintillating attacking play from the visitors after disappointing results against West Brom and Everton, but there was criticism of the performance of Wijnaldum.
Supporters on social media claimed the Holland international had gone missing in yet another away match, with one even insisting he was “lost at sea”.

I’ll be happy when Keita comes into that midfield and we replace either gini or hendo…. Could do with another solid CM as Can is off… #lfc
