Leeds United striker Pawel Cibicki has held talks with Danish club Brondby about a January move, according to Tipsbladet.

The Danish publication claim that the title-challenging outfit are keen on snapping up attacking reinforcements and have identified the Elland Road forward, 23, as a potential target.

Tipsbladet report that Brondby sporting director Troels Bech met with Cibicki’s agent recently at the Hilton Hotel in Copenhagen as dialogue began over a possible deal.

Cibicki has already been linked with a return to Malmo, the club Leeds signed him from on deadline day in August, but Brondby have now seemingly entered the chase for his signature next month.

The report adds that no further meetings have been held since the initial contact between Cibicki’s representatives from Nordicon Sportsmanagement Ltd and Bech, with Brondby weighing up their options.

Good move for Leeds?

Not really. Cibicki demonstrated with a hugely impressive Championship debut last weekend against QPR that he has the ability to be a force for Leeds in the second half of the campaign. Deployed in a right-flank role, he combined well with Kemar Roofe, Samuel Saiz and Ezgjan Alioski, and must be in contention to start against Norwich tomorrow (Saturday). Leeds are not so well blessed with attacking talent that they can afford to offload Cibicki so quickly. He has had little action this season, but demonstrated at Loftus Road he can make a big first team impact. Leeds must keep him next month.

Likely to happen?

It’s possible, but much will depend upon injuries and how Christiansen’s side shapes up either side of Christmas. With Caleb Ekuban, Pierre-Michel Lasogga and Stuart Dallas absent tomorrow, Cibicki should get an opportunity to build upon his impressive showing six days ago. Another fine display and any exit talks should be abandoned for good.
