Mile Jedinak played a key role as Australia beat Honduras to reach the World Cup finals – and the Aston Villa fans on Twitter praised his display.
The 33-year-old midfielder was the star man for his nation as they won 3-1 to book their spot in Russia for 2018.
He scored twice from the penalty spot in the second-half, while his deflected free-kick came off Honduras defender Henry Figueroa to give Australia the lead at the time.
Jedinak has been plagued by a persistent groin injury which has seen him feature just three times for Villa this season.
However, the central midfielder looked back to his best on the international stage and will hope that transfers across to club football.
Villa fans on social media were delighted for Jedinak after he sealed his nations place in the World Cup and have urged him to get fully fit for their own games.

Jedinak will now be aiming to play a crucial part for Villa as they strive for promotion from the Championship this season.
The Midlands giants are currently sixth-placed in the league table and the race for the play-off spots is a fiercely contested one.
They travel to QPR on Saturday for an important league fixture and will be looking to bounce back from a defeat to Sheffield Wednesday.
Villa manager Steve Bruce will be fully aware of Jedinak’s capabilities in the centre of the park and was reminded of his all-round game with his Australia display.
He usually operates as a defensive midfielder that breaks up possession, but is also a set-piece specialist that can offer a threat for Villa.
