Celtic fans have reacted with surprise on Twitter to the news that Stuart Armstrong will start over Oliver Ntcham in the League Cup final against Motherwell.
The Hoops meet Motherwell in the Betfred Cup final at Hampden Park on Sunday afternoon, with the first piece of silverware this season up for grabs.
Celtic comprehensively beat Dundee 4-0 in the quarter finals before running out 4-2 winners over Hibernian in the semis.
Motherwell’s route to the final has been even more impressive, overcoming Aberdeen 3-0 in the quarters before beating Rangers 2-0 in the semi-finals.
The two teams meet on Sunday afternoon before a league double header sees them meet again on Wednesday and once more on Saturday.
Celtic are coming off a dismal 7-1 Champions League defeat by Paris St-Germain, a team who they previously lost 5-0 to at Celtic Park.
Their last league match was a narrow 1-0 win over Ross County, with Leigh Griffiths the hero that day as his free-kick secured the three points.
Armstrong broke into the Celtic team last season and established himself as a regular for Celtic with his solid performances, even making his debut for Scotland.
He has failed to hit that kind of form yet this season however, and Ntcham got the nod in their Champions League fixture at PSG.
Armstrong now finds himself back in the team for the final, and Ntcham is on the bench.

Ntcham should be ahead of Armstrong, saying that though, the team playing should be good enough, come on the famous Glasgow Celtic?

However, there were those who thought Ntcham being dropped was the right call:
No Ntcham. Good decision for me. Still to see anything from the lad. Hope he proves me wrong long term.
