West Ham are set to appoint David Moyes as their new manager with Phil Neville as his number two, according to a reliable journalist.
Daily Mail sports editor Lee Clayton reported on his personal Twitter account on Sunday morning that the former Manchester United, Everton and Sunderland boss is “coming in” at the London Stadium with ex-defender Neville “alongside him”.

West Ham have a managerial succession plan in place in the wake of the team’s 4-1 Premier League home defeat against Liverpool on Saturday evening that left Slaven Bilic’s job in jeopardy.
Bilic remained defiant afterwards, claiming that he would not hide from responsibility and was ready to talk to owners David Gold and David Sullivan whenever they wished.
The Croatian manager admitted that things looked bleak, but insisted he had the strength of character to fight back as the start of the international break gives West Ham’s board time to consider options.
OPINION
West Ham fans are unlikely to be doing cartwheels at the prospect of Moyes taking over as manager. The Scot’s reputation has nosedived since he quit Everton for Manchester United, culminating in a horrendous spell at Sunderland last season that ended in relegation. Moyes is available at no compensation cost, and the sense is that he will be hired because he is the cheap option. There will be no prizes for imagination should this appointment be made.
