Tottenham second favourites to sign Richarlison

Tottenham have been installed second favourites to sign Watford attacker Richarlison, according to the latest bookmakers’ odds.

Ladbrokes have priced Spurs at 2/1 to sign the 20-year-old sensation in January, while London rivals Chelsea are valued as the 13/10 frontrunners.

Arsenal (3/1), Everton (9/2) and any Chinese club (5/1) are the next best priced odds, but Watford are still odds-on at 3/4 to keep hold of the left-footed Brazilian they only signed in the summer.

This comes after the Daily Mirror reported that Spurs are lining up a move to sign Richarlison.

It is understood that Mauricio Pochettino’s side have been eyeing up a move for the 20-year-old and that the manager wants to add some extra pace in the final third of the pitch.

Richarlison has made a superb impact on the Premier League since he joined Watford and the emerging youngster is now attracting interest from elite clubs.

He has excelled as a left-winger in Marco Silva’a team and has brilliant technical ability.

The attacker has made 14 appearances across all competitions so far this season, scoring five goals and supplying four assists.

OPINION

Richarlison has been a breath of fresh air on the Premier League this campaign and it’s remarkable how quickly he has settled into the style of English football. His pace and power has made him a nightmare for defenders to deal with, while his direct approach towards goal has seen him reap the rewards. Spurs are always on the search for talented youngster and Richarlison may be one of the best around right now. He should only improve as he develops and could thrive under the guidance of Pochettino. Spurs could also do with someone with his traits to add some firepower out wide in their team and a January swoop should be made.
