Next three Spurs academy products set for first team

Tashan Oakley-Boothe

Pochettino has given Oakley-Boothe a chance to stake a claim for a first-team spot this season even though he is just 17 and does not turn 18 until February. TheĀ England Under-17 international made his senior debut as a last-minute substitute in Spurs’ League Cup win against Barnsley in September and was an unused substitute in the team’s Champions League win at Apoel Nicosia a week later. Oakley-Boothe, who can play as a holding midfielder or a box to box role, also figured for Spurs on their pre-season tour of the USA. He is highly regarded at Tottenham and already appears too good for Under-23s football. With doubts over the fitness of Victor Wanyama and Mousa Dembele, Oakley-Boothe could be set for extended first team action in the coming months.
