Newcastle United fans have taken to Twitter to voice their anger at the performance of striker Joselu after the Magpies lost 3-0 at home to Watford.
The Spaniard was a £5million summer signing from Stoke, and has been Rafael Benitez’s first-choice striker up front for the Mapgies this season.
He has made 12 appearances for Newcastle, but has failed to make a real impact in front of goal, scoring just twice in that time.
The Spaniard’s goalscoring record at Stoke was far from prolific, scoring just four times in 27 appearances, and he appears to have continued that form on Tyneside.
Rafa Benitez’s charges went into the game against Watford on the back of three consecutive defeats, but fell to their most disappointing yet as the Hornets ran out comfortable 3-0 winners.
Will Hughes got them going with his second goal in two games before DeAndre Yedlin put the ball in his own net just before half-time.
Andre Gray then compounded Newcastle’s misery as he slotted home after 62 minutes.
Joselu started up front with Dwight Gayle for the Magpies in a 4-4-2 formation, and played 69 minutes before being hauled off the pitch after a poor showing.
The Toon Army were quick to take to Twitter and destroy the Spaniard after another dismal performance from the 27-year-old.
