Arsenal fans took to Twitter to lay into Aaron Ramsey for his first-half performance in their Premier League clash against Manchester City.
The midfielder has predominantly played in central midfield this season alongside fellow mainstay Granit Xhaka.
But Wales international Ramsey, 26, was given a right-flank role as Arsene Wenger tweaked his formation and fielded a 4-2-3-1 against City, with Francis Coquelin recalled to partner Xhaka in the centre.
Ramsey struggled to make an impression as City totally dominated at Etihad Stadium and went into the half-time break 1-0 ahead through an excellent Kevin de Bruyne cross-shot.
The Arsenal man was guilty of failing to properly track De Bruyne’s run as he launched a smart one-two with David Silva before shooting across Petr Cech in goal.
Gunners fans took to social media en masse to criticise Ramsey for his opening-period display, with some going as far as to label him a “fraud” and “embarrassing”.

Coquelin back to Charlton form, Xhaka a show pony and Ramsey can’t defend. No balance, no spirit, no chance. #afc
