Everton have been installed as the favourites to sign Manchester United defender Luke Shaw, according to the latest bookmakers’ odds.
Bet Victor have priced the Merseyside giants at 4/1 to land the United outcast before 4 February, which follows the closure of the January transfer window.
Everton are ahead in the betting of a number of Premier League rivals, including Swansea City (5/1) and big-name trio Chelsea, Tottenham and Newcastle (all 6/1).
Left-back Shaw has made just two substitute appearances for United this season and has been strongly linked with a January exit, possibly on loan.
The England international has been regularly criticised by manager Jose Mourinho, who has questioned his fitness, attitude and understanding of the game.

Everton would represent a brilliant option for Shaw to resurrect his career, assuming that the new manager is a fan. It would be a smarter move than Tottenham, who already have Danny Rose and Ben Davies vying for the left-back slot and could not offer the regular starting role he desperately needs to reignite his career. With Leighton Baines aged 32 and showing clear signs of decline, Shaw could get his career back on track by making the short journey to Goodison Park. In turn, the left-sided dazzler could spend his peak years with the Toffees.
