La Liga outfit Real Betis are reportedly interested in signing Arsenal midfielder Jack Wilshere.

The Sun reports that Betis manager Quique Setien is desperate to add the 25-year-old to their squad.

The newspaper also claims that the Spanish club also tried to sign the England international on a permanent deal during the summer but a move failed to materialise.

Good move for Arsenal?

This is going to be one of the most important choices that Wilshere will make during his footballing career.

The Englishman seems to have recovered well from his injury setback last season but he has still not performed well enough for manager Arsene Wenger to see him as a first-team starter.

There is no doubt that the midfielder is a firm favourite amongst the Arsenal faithful but he is not playing football on a regular basis which could potentially cost him a place at next year’s World Cup in Russia.

Wilshere has only made one appearance in the Premier League this season which was a late substitute cameo in the 5-2 victory over Everton last month.

The midfielder has enjoyed minutes on the pitch but he is only featuring in the Europa League and Carabao Cup this season against weakened opposition.

With report claiming that Wilshere currently earns £90,000-a-week at the Emirates Stadium with his contract expiring in the summer, they might consider letting him go despite the potential backlash from the supporters.

Likely to happen?

The decision should ultimately come down to what the player wants to do and Wilshere must serious consider all of his options.

The midfielder might be tempted to ply his trade in Spain due to his playing style and also fellow teammate Joel Campbell is currently on a loan spell with Betis.

Wilshere should make it clear to his manager that he will leave unless he is guaranteed a regular place in the starting eleven as the season progresses.

With the midfielder likely to attract more interest from bigger clubs, Wilshere could potentially decline a move to Betis but still depart from North London in January or next summer.
