Bilic dismissal could open door for West Ham fringe players

|

West Ham confirmed the sacking of manager Slaven Bilic on Monday morning and this may present an opportunity for some fringe players to make an impression in the long-term.

The Hammers announced the the 49-year-old Croatian boss has departed the London Stadium and ended his two-and-a-half year stint with the club.

He did help them to a seventh-placed finish in the Premier League in the club’s final ever year at the Boleyn Ground, but his team have struggled since the move to a new stadium.

Bilic leaves West Ham 18th in the Premier League table and his successor will be tasked with trying to drag them away from the relegation spots.

David Moyes is widely reported to be in line for the vacant position and to take his first job since leaving Sunderland.

This Is Futbol has picked out three West Ham players that could in fact benefit from Bilic’s departure on an individual level and force their way into the first tam under a new manager.
