Pawel Cibicki completed 65 minutes for Leeds United in the defeat to Leicester – and the club’s supporters ripped into him on Twitter for his performance.

The 23-year-old attacker got a rare start for the Whites as they suffered a 3-1 loss away to the Premier League side in the fourth round of the Carabao Cup.

He was used as a left-winger at the King Power Stadium and was unable to get any change out of Leicester full-back Daniel Amartey.

Leeds took the lead through a superb long-range strike from Pablo Hernandez that cannoned in off the crossbar.

However, the Foxes then grew into the game and goals from Kelechi Iheanacho, Islam Slimani and Riyad Mahrez booked their place in the quarter-finals of the League Cup.

Leeds fans on social media singled out attacker Cibicki for his display on Tuesday night and feel that he made very little impact in the final third.

Cibicki has been on the fringes of the Leeds squad so far this season and his only two appearances have come in the cup.

He is yet to get a chance in the league and is still trying to convince manager Thomas Christiansen of his quality.

The Swede moved to Elland Road as a recognised striker and scored five goals in 20 appearances for Malmo last season.

However, he was used as a left-winger against Leicester and failed to convince fans that he can make a serious impact in the first team.
