Everton attacker Ademola Lookman has emerged as a target for Premier League rivals Arsenal, according to the Sun.

The newspaper claims that the 19-year-old could be tempted to leave Goodison Park and pursue a move back to London, having left Charlton in January.

It is understood that the Gunners are looking to add pace in the wide areas and that the England Under-21 international would fit the bill.

The report details that Everton will not want to lose the winger, but a £15million offer could changes their minds.

Lookman’s adviser is believed to be close to Arsenal and that could lead to Arsene Wenger launching a January move.

Good move for Everton?

Everton should certainly ignore any potential approach from Arsenal for Lookman and keep the rising star in their squad.

£15million would be a very good return for someone that is yet to set the world alight at Goodison Park and that has been a fringe player under Ronald Koeman.

However, he is exactly what the Toffees starting XI is crying out for and needs to be playing more often.
The left winger has brilliant pace and a willingness to take on players, something that is lacking right now at the Merseyside club.

He has so much potential to become a major player for Everton and it would be far too soon to get rid of him.

Likely to happen?

Arsenal’s interest in Lookman will concern Everton fans and if they are willing to stump up £15million then a deal could be on the cards.

However, the youngster should surely get more minutes under his belt in the coming weeks after making just four appearances so far this season.

He is currently open to a move back to London, but more game time at the Merseyside club should change his mind.
