Diame has been used only as an impact substitute so far this season in the Premier League and surely will be shipped on in the next nine months.
The midfielder usually plays in the number 10 role and hasn’t been able to overtake a misfiring Ayoze Perez in the starting XI.
It is clear that Benitez clearly doesn’t rate the 30-year-old and at his age he should be at the peak of his powers.
Diame has constantly divided opinion among fans during his time with the Magpies and certainly doesn’t look like playing a big role this season, which could lead him to a permanent exit.
