Newcastle United go into the international break on the back of a brilliant point against Liverpool after securing a 1-1 home draw.

Rafael Benitez will now have a good idea of his squad after the seven opening league games and is beginning to find a consistent starting XI.

The Magpies are ninth in the league table and so far look like avoiding a relegation battle on their return to the top flight.

Newcastle put together a three-game winning run in the league over West Ham, Swansea and Stoke which shows they are good enough to be competitive.

The North East club have a solid team at their disposal despite Benitez working on a limited transfer budge in the window.

Joselu and Mikel Merino have proved good additions over the summer, while the likes of Jamaal Lascelles and Matt Ritchie continue to be strong performers.

However, there are a few players that appear very unlikely to force their way into Benitez’s plans and are not good enough to be involved as the club look to ensure their Premier League status.

This Is Futbol explains why these three Newcastle players can’t possibly have a future at St James’ Park, including a 26-year-old who played a major role in the club’s promotion last season.
