Rangers fans have taken to Twitter to slam Josh Windass after his performance in the team’s 1-1 Scottish Premiership draw with Kilmarnock on Wednesday night.

The midfielder has been a mainstay of the team since Pedro Caixinha was appointed manager in March.

But he has been widely criticised by frustrated supporters in recent weeks and that was once again the case in the wake of the side’s failure to secure a home victory against Kilmarnock.

An injury-time Chris Burke goal levelled the score after Jason Holt had given Rangers a first-half lead.

Windass lasted 63 minutes on the left side of midfield before being substituted for Aaron Nemane and fans want the former Accrington Stanley player to be axed for Saturday’s league clash against Hearts.

Rangers’ number 11 has been disappointed fans for a number of months now and their patience has ran out, with one saying his constant inclusion in the team is “utterly baffling”.
