Tottenham fans raved about Moussa Sissoko on Twitter after his cameo display in their Premier League win against Bournemouth on Saturday afternoon.
The France international did not start the clash as a Christian Eriksen goal secured the three point for Spurs and ended their league hoodoo at Wembley.
But Sissoko made a big impression late on after being introduced after 75 minutes as a replacement for Son Heung-Min.
The former Newcastle man made a string of powerful runs and displayed the type of form that many had expected to see on a far more regular basis in the wake of his £30million transfer in the summer of 2016.
The attacking midfielder’s future seemed highly uncertain during the recent window after a wretched debut campaign and manager Pochettino has admitted the midfielder wanted a transfer and that Spurs would have allowed him to depart if they had received an acceptable offer.
Sissoko has taken advantage of injuries to Victor Wanyama and Mousa Dembele to demonstrate the versatility, athleticism and technical quality that led to a deadline-day scrap between Spurs and Everton for his services just over 12 months ago.
Tottenham supporters took to social media en masse following the triumph at Wembley to hail the France international and urge him to deliver on a more consistent basis.
