Danny Rose has been omitted from the official Tottenham 2018 calendar – and fans have taken to Twitter to interpret it as a sign that the club are still fuming at him and that his future is in serious doubt.

The Lilywhite Rose Twitter account posted images of the official 2018 calendar on Thursday morning and England international Rose was a notable omission from both the front cover and the individual month pages.

The front cover showed skipper Hugo Lloris and four key first teamers in Harry Kane, Dele Alli, Christian Eriksen and Mousa Dembele.

The high-profile quintet also had their own monthly pages, as did Toby Alderweireld, Jan Vertonghen, Eric Dier, Harry Winks, Kieran Tripper, Victor Wanyama and Son Heung-Min.

A number of senior Spurs players have also been omitted, including Ben Davies, Erik Lamela and Moussa Sissoko, as well as summer signings Davinson Sanchez, Serge Aurier, Fernando Llorente and Juan Foyth.

But the most notable omission is left-back Rose, who is a product of the Tottenham academy and has accumulated 144 appearances for the club.

He upset the Spurs hierarchy when he criticised the club in a summer interview and insisted he would be open to offers from other teams because he wants bigger wages.

By comparison, Rose was pictured on the official calendar in each of the two previous editions, in 2017 and 2016.

Reports have emerged this week that Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho is confident of signing Rose for £45million next summer and that the player has his heart set on a move to Old Trafford.

Some fans have claimed that the 27-year-old’s omission from the official club merchandise suggests he will follow fellow full-back Kyle Walker out of the exit door and will not be at White Hart Lane by the end of 2018.

Others have pointed out that there is a paucity of action images of him due to the injury that has sidelined him since the end of January.
