Thomas Christiansen has confirmed that Stuart Dallas will be missing from the Leeds squad again due to a family bereavement.

The Leeds manager was talking in the pre-match press conference, as quoted by the Yorkshire Evening Post, ahead of the League Cup clash with Leicester City on Tuesday night.

The winners will progress through to the quarter-finals of the competition.

Dallas missed the 3-0 win against Bristol City on Saturday because of the death in his family and the 26-year-old attacker will not be available for Tuesday’s game.

Christiansen also confirmed that Gaetano Berardi (suspension) and Caleb Ekuban (injury) would be missing, but stated that Cameron-Borthwick Jackson  would be in the squad.

OPINION

Christiansen dedicated Leeds’ 3-0 win against Bristol City to Stuart Dallas in a great touch after the attacker suffered a family bereavement. Fans and players alike will be wishing him all the best as he deals with his personal tragedy, and will be looking forward to seeing him back in the squad – hopefully on Friday for the game against Sheffield United.
