Three things learned from West Ham v Huddersfield

West Ham picked up their first points of the Premier League season against Huddersfield on Monday night and eased pressure on under-fire manager Slaven Bilic in the process.

The Hammers secured a 2-0 home victory at the London Stadium to move off the foot of the league table.

Pedro Obiang’s deflected shot gave the hosts the lead in the 72nd minute, before substitute Andre Ayew added another just five minutes later with a simple tap in.

The Londoners enjoyed a winning start in their first home game of the season, but travel to West Brom on Saturday in their next match.

Bilic’s side have lost their three away games so far this campaign and will be looking to put in the kind of performance they showed against the Terriers.

This Is Futbol considers three talking points from West Ham’s win over Huddersfield, including why their midfield mainstay who missed the game through injury should not be recalled to the starting XI.
