Moussa Sissoko has been axed from the Tottenham line up against Huddersfield – and the club’s supporters were mixed on Twitter with decision.
The 28-year-old has begun to win around fans this season after forcing his way into the side on a more regular basis, but has not made the grade for the Premier League clash away to Huddersfield.
He endured a nightmare first season in North London after a £30million move from Newcastle, but the France international has begun to reignite his best form once again recently.
Sissoko has made nine appearances across all competitions so far this campaign, including the Champions League clash with Apoel Nicosia on Tuesday.
However, Mauricio Pochettino has decided to opt with English pair Harry Winks and Eric Dier in the centre of midfield against Huddersfield.
Spurs fans on social media have respond to the decision to drop Sissoko and have offered contrasting opinions.
This Is Futbol has rounded up some of the best tweets:

Winks for Sissoko. Winks has done well granted but I'm not sure I agree with that especially as intentional break after this. #COYS

Sissoko would have hoped to continue his good form going into the international break, but has to make do with a place on the bench.
He is still awaiting his first goal for Spurs since his move, but has begun to make a great impact in games.
The absences of Victor Wanyama and Mousa Dembele to injury have opened the door in the middle of the park, something that Sissoko has capitalised on.
Sissoko is continuing to divide opinions at Spurs despite his recent form and will now fear losing his place on a permanent basis to academy product Winks.
