Leeds United are preparing a move for attacking midfielder Emiliano Buendia, according to reliable journalist Alan Nixon.
Sun correspondent Nixon has claimed on his personal Twitter account that the Whites are “lining up a move” to sign the 20-year-old.
The South American playmaker is currently on loan at La Liga 2 side Cultural Leonesa, while Spanish top-flight club Getafe are his parent club.
Buendia is an Argentina Under-20 international and usually operates in the number 10 role.
Good move for Leeds?
Buendia is a fairly unknown talent to English audiences, but the youngster is carving out a promising career in Spain.
The attacker has begun the new campaign in good form for Cultural Leonesa in Spain’s second flight and is currently on a season-long loan.
He has made five appearances so far, scoring one goal and supplying two assists in return.
Buendia is recognised for being a technically gifted player and is someone that would fit well into Christiansen’s system.
It would be a decent move for Leeds to pick up a promising youngster that has experience in La Liga and would thrive alongside the likes of Pablo Hernandez and Samu Saiz.

Likely to happen?
This deal still seems like a long way off happening and is at the very early stages.
Leeds are reportedly lining up a move for Buendia, but the fact he is currently on a season-long loan suggests it could come to fruition next summer.
The creative playmaker is someone who fits the bill of a Christiansen signing and the manager has shown he is willing to bring in unknown taletns from abroad.
