Paul Ince believes that West Ham United will struggle to overcome Tottenham in the London derby on Saturday afternoon.

The former West Ham man believes that Spurs will pick up the three points at the London Stadium with a comfortable 3-1 win.

The Hammers are unbeaten in their last two Premier League games with a win over newly-promoted Huddersfield Town before picking up their first away point of the season against West Bromwich Albion last weekend.

However, Mauricio Pochettino’s side have been formidable on the road in the league this season, winning both matches against Newcastle United and Everton without conceding a single goal in the process.

Writing in his column for the Express, Ince is confident that Spurs can continue their fantastic form away from home and leave with the bragging rights in the derby this weekend.

“The Hammers got one over on Spurs when they were at home last season, but I’d say it’s hard to imagine they’re going to do that again,” he wrote.

“I just think, Mauricio Pochettino’s side, away from Wembley, they’re going to have a bit too much for ‘em.”

OPINION

This is one of the most exciting Premier League fixtures this weekend. Slaven Bilic’s side appear to have found some consistency in the last two matches but they will face a tough task on Saturday against their fierce rivals. Tottenham have performed better on the road at the start of the new campaign and following their damaging 1-0 defeat at the London Stadium last season, they will surely be out for revenge this time around. Spurs struggled to break down Swansea City last weekend but the onus will be on the Hammers to attack the visitors which is likely to open up space for the counter attack. The West Ham supporters produced a stunning atmosphere for the occasion last season and they will surely look to do the same on Saturday. Despite this, we agree with Ince’s prediction and we are going for an away win in this fixture this weekend.
