Everton finally got back to winning ways with a comfortable victory over struggling Championship side Sunderland in the League Cup.
The result will be a huge tonic to Ronald Koeman and his men after a disastrous start to the Premier League campaign sees them sitting in 18th with just four points from five games.
Dominic Calvert-Lewin scored a brace to secure the win but the real story for the fans was the return to the first team of Oumar Niasse.
He came on as a substitute in the 66th minute with the score at 2-0, and got the reward for his patience at Goodison Park with a goal in the 83rd minute after a clever ball from Tom Davies.
Niasse controlled the ball with his chest and hammered it into the roof of the net, signalling some wild celebrations.
And Everton fans were made up for the player.
Goals have been an issue for Everton this season and they’re hoping that Niasse could prove an unlikely saviour.
This Is Futbol has rounded up some of the best tweets from Everton fans after the game.

Great to see how happy the players where for Niasse to score. They all genuinely looked buzzing for him.
