David Prutton has predicted an “entertaining draw” when the top of the table sides Leeds and Cardiff meet in the Championship on Tuesday night.

Both teams have 20 points after nine games in the league but Leeds are top courtesy of a much better goal difference.

Talking in his column on Sky Sports, Prutton said: “Is it going to be an early season marker for who might get into the top two by the end?

“It’s probably a bit early for that but it’s certainly a barometer for the ambitions of these sides.

“Both sides had good wins on Saturday and will be confident heading into this game.

“Cardiff boss Neil Warnock will fancy getting one over on his old side and I fancy an entertaining draw.”

Prutton went on to say that the game would end 2-2, with Leeds striker Pierre-Michel Lasogga scoring the first goal.

OPINION

Leeds fans would probably settle for a draw away at one of their table-topping rivals, although it gives Wolves the chance to leapfrog them into the top spot when they travel to Sheffield United on Wednesday. Lasogga is on a high at the moment after scoring in the 3-2 win over Ipswich on Saturday and becoming a new father. He kept the news of the birth from his teammates and manager so he could play in the game at Elland Road – something that will endear him to the Leeds faithful. Scoring the first goal would be the perfect tonic before he heads back to Germany to spend time with his new family over the upcoming international break.
