Everton are reportedly close to landing Gylfi Sigurdsson from Swansea and there are a number of positions that the versatile ace could fill.

The Telegraph claim that the Toffees have agreed a £45million deal with Swansea for the playmaker and smashed their transfer record in the process.

It is reported that the 27-year-old will undergo a medical with the Merseyside club on Wednesday and that he will be available for the next match against Manchester City.

Ronald Koeman has been keen to bolster his squad this summer and it appears like they will be welcoming another big signing to Goodison Park.

Sigurdsson has proven himself to be crucial player during his time with Swansea and has bounced back from a difficult time with Tottenham.

The attacking midfielder was regarded as the best player outside of the top-seven clubs last season and has earned himself a big-money move.

He made 40 appearances across all competitions last season, scoring 10 goals and supplying 13 assists in return.
