Tottenham fans have been left stunned by Danny Rose’s interview on Thursday, but have already called on the club to sign Manchester United ace Luke Shaw as his replacement on Twitter.

The Spurs defender revealed to the Sun several huge talking points, including frustration over his salary, the club’s transfer policy and stated that he would be willing to leave in search of medals elsewhere.

The left-back’s honest revelations have come in the build-up to the Premier League opener against Newcastle and left fans in shock.

“As with everyone else in my team, in my opinion, I am worth more than I am getting,” he said. “In any walk of life, if you think you are worth a certain amount, why settle for less? I am not that person.

“If I get to levels I reached last season — and this goes out to everybody — I will make sure I get what I am worth.”

Sky Sports are reporting that Rose would consider joining Manchester United or Chelsea this summer if Spurs are prepared to let him go.

The England international would leave a big gap in the squad if he did leave to join a rival as Ben Davies would be the only recognised left-back.

Spurs fans have highlighted United full-back Shaw as someone they would want as a replacement, claiming that his relationship with former boss Pocehtitno is a big positive and suggested a player-plus-cash deal with United for the defender.

Shaw and Pochettino previously worked together at Southampton, which was a springboard for both to earn moves to United and Spurs respectively.

However, Shaw has endured a frustrating time at Old Trafford and missed most of the 2015/16 campaign with a serious broken leg and has since struggled to cement a position in Jose Mourinho’s starting line-up.

The 22-year-old was once considered to be one the best upcoming talents in English football and Spurs fans feel that form could be rediscovered with them.

He is recognised for being a well balanced left-back that can see out his defensive disciplines and is also strong offensively.
