Celtic delivered a stunning performance on Wednesday night to beat Astana in the Champions League – and the club’s supporters were particularly impressed with winger James Forrest.
The Bhoys took a giant step to the Champions League group stages by demolishing Kazakhstan champions Astana 5-0 in the play-off first leg.
Brendan Rodgers’ side made the most of their home advantage and have one foot in the group stages ahead of the return leg.
Scott Sinclair scored a brace for the hosts and Astana were also unfortunate to net two own goals.
Forrest got in on the act with a goal as he dazzled into the penalty area and fired across goal into the net.
The 26-year-old has often divided opinion during his time at Parkhead and is often criticised for being too inconsistent.
However, Celtic fans were fully behind him on Wednesday and feel he was superb in the Astana victory.

Forrest usually operates as a right winger and has the ability to cut inside from the flank
The Scotland international netted his second goal of the season against Astana and both have come in the Champions League qualifiers.
He will be hoping to continue his good form and maintain his spot in the starting line-up, with a trip to Kilmarnock the club’s next fixture.
Rodgers’ side were expecting a tough encounter on Wednesday after only just scraping past the Kazakhstan side by a one-goal margin last year in the qualifying rounds.
However, they proved how far the team has developed and managed to do so without talisman Moussa Dembele too.
