Leeds are yet to fill the void left by Charlie Taylor’s departure this summer to Burnley and may want to bring in a senior left-back to their squad.

Gaetano Berardi and youngster Tyler Denton are the only options for the Whites in the left-back position, which could leave manager Thomas Christiansen short going into the new season.

This Is Futbol has picked out two options, including one that would leave the fans in raptures.

Dream signing: George Friend

Leeds fans would surely love to see their club sign Middlesbrough left-back George Friend, something that would be bitter sweet given the departure of manager Garry Monk to the Riverside Stadium this summer.

The 29-year-old would be the perfect fit at Elland Road and is good enough to demand a place in the starting line-up.

He has been with Boro since 2012 and become one of their most consistent performers on the left flank, which has seen him captain the side on several occasions.

Friend would be a like-for-like replacement for Taylor and the pair are both renowned for their attacking traits.

The Boro ace achieved promotion two seasons ago from the Championship and managed to chip in with six assists, while also demonstrating he is top class in England’s second division.
