Steve Bruce must make seven changes to his Aston Villa side as they look for their first three points of the season against Neil Warnock’s Cardiff City.

The Midlands giants were held at Villa Park last time out by relegated Premier League side Hull City, after Gabriel Agbonlahor had given Bruce’s side the lead from close range.

However, Bruce will be confident that his side can earn all three points after securing their first win of the season against Colchester United on Wednesday night in the Carabao Cup with a 2-1 win.

Villa will still be without a trio of first-team stars, including last season’s top scorer Jonathan Kodjia who is still struggling with an ankle injury. Jack Grealish has a kidney problem, while Mile Jedinak is sidelined with a groin injury.

Here, This Is Futbol considers Aston Villa’s best possible starting eleven as Bruce looks to orchestrate his side’s first three points of the season in their hunt for Premier League promotion.
